Halloween 2008
A little late i know, but here are some pics from Halloween season at the Varnon house. Noah has become completely obsessed with the color orange lately and completely fell in love with pumpkins so it was only right to dress him up as a pumpkin….that is for as long as he would keep the costume on. Thankfully it velcroed up the back so it was an easy on/off costume. We celebrated Halloween this year by attending a local pumpkin patch…Noah was so ecstatic to see all the pumpkins. The first words out of his mouth when he saw the patch was “PUNKINS!!!” He especially loved the bounce house. Later in the week we has Trunk or Treat at the church. (see prior post for pics and more on that) Neither of us were too thrilled about actually carving a pumpkin so we just let Noah paint on a few and make faces on the others with some poke in pieces (thanks Mamese!!). Noah dressed up for Halloween twice at school and got to ‘trick or treat’ to the church offices and get some candy. Now for the downfall of Halloween…Noah found out what candy is…AARRGG!! We had done so well for 2 years not letting him really know what it was. Of course he had some, but he just knew M&M’s…don’t think he really realized there was so much other sweet stuff out there. We confiscated whatever candy he did get and let him have a piece here and there…unlike Halloween night. We all sat outside and handed out candy to the Trick or Treaters….I do believe Noah’s dinner that night consisted of a few chicken strips and lot and Lots and LOTS of candy! Oh well…might as well let him indulge once in a while, huh?!
